Shaheed Lachhman Singh Dharowali University College, kalanur was established as a constituent college of Guru Nanak Dev University in 2018. It is a co-educational college. The administrative functioning of the college is regulated by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
Our college is conferred with the status of "a university with Potential for Excellence" by UGC and accredited with a CGPA of 3.85 on a four points scale, with an "A++" grade by NAAC. Besides mandatory recognitions, the college has earned trust and goodwill of aspiring students, parents,the public and similar agencies, mainly in form of examination schedules, delivery of quality learning materials and efficient student support services.
S.L.S.D University College Kalanaur aims to meet the present day demand for higher education and educate society with a difference. Admissions are offered to eligible students based on their credentials, in recognition of S.L.S.D. University college's contribution towards creating and educational hub in the border area of Kalanaur.Though the college is commited to promoting higher education, it has also created ample space for the study of social sciences, language and literatures, information technology, and fashion designing.
The college carries out teaching through the semester system and has adopted a continuous internal assessment pattern. Scholarships have been instituted for economically weaker sections of schedules castes and minorities.
